Thanks Bill. I will say this: if you've gone 27 years without missing a deadline, you're doing pretty darn well. Now we all know that some weeks will be better than others -- a realization I'm still grappling with -- but comparing to Progresso soup ingredients may be a bit harsh. BTW, their Minestrone is very good.

Yes, let’s hear it for the minestrone! Agree, I like it.

Right back at ya! That book you proposed does sound boring indeed. I'm gonna take a nap now thinking about it.

Good one, Rich. It's amazing what our panic-stricken brains can create when the clock is ticking. Personally, I have never missed a weekly deadline in 27 years. I wish I could say each of those 1400+ humor columns was humorous, but alas, some were very similar to reading the ingredients on a can of Progresso soup -- except with less giggles.

Keep up the good work!

I feel like BeBu deserves a posthumous shoutout. Not every creative idea gets to cross the finish line, but some of them are the necessary weird little sacrifices that clear the runway for the one that does. Also, “rabid hole” may have been the moment BeBu realized he was in over his head. 😂

Happy Tuesday Rich

What a coincidence. Just yesterday I was talking to the ex-Chief of Naval Operations during the war. Do you by any chance know of anybody who needs 20 pounds of lint? As for children's books, I had a similar idea when my daughters were young. I actually composed the one and only story for a book which never got off the ground. It was to be called “Boring Stories” to lull children to sleep. The first and only story was called “The Rock,” about a rock I once observed from a train to downtown Chicago. It was so boring that it did the trick, lulling them to sleep (after the comment: “Oh Dad, that was soooo boring!”). Have a good week, Rich!
